Elementary Integration

The following integration rules may be used at some point during the course. Note that $C$ is a constant. We will not require you to perform integrations that may involve trigonometric or hyperbolic functions.

Basic Forms

$$ \begin{align} &\int u^n \mathrm{d}u = \frac{u^{n+1}}{n+1}+C, n \neq -1\\ &\int u^{-1} \mathrm{d}u = \ln{|u|}+C\\ &\int e^u \mathrm{d}u = e^u + C\\ &\int a^u \mathrm{d}u = \frac{a^u}{\ln{(a)}} + C \end{align} $$
